This year, Châtelaillon Plage again hosted The Festival du Cerf-Volant et du Vent, which is a kite and propeller. This festival is an international event and attended by hundreds of participants who came from France and other countries. In this 24^th edition the event is held for 3 days in a row. According to one of the participants Mr. Dominique HENRI, the festival was held for the first time in 1994. 

This year is my lucky year, because last year I was not able to attend this festival. Although I can visit this event this year but once again I have to be dissapointed, because I came on the 2^nd day and on that day the weather was not too good, cloudy and the wind was so weak there were not many kites flyig in the air. But no problem at all, because the next day I came back again.

As seen on the forecast, today is better than previous one. The sky is bright, temperature is about 24°Celcius and the wind blows stronger. When I got there, I was mesmerized by the scenery in the sky. The scene I saw this day is very different from the previous day. I see hundreds of kites flying and dancing the sky of Châtelaillon Beach. The shape is also various, from the simple shaped kites to the more specific shape are available. From circle or triangle shaped to animal shaped kites like whale and giant octopus.

In addition to featuring kites for recreation, the participants also feature kites for sport such as kite surfing, as well as kites that can be used for fishing. Why is it named kites and air festival? Because in addition to featuring kites, this festival also features a variety of fan or propeller. For the children, they provide playground and various competitions such as kite making and decoration competitions.

How To Get There

Châtelaillon Plage is a beach in southwestern France. This beach is in the Charente-Maritime Department. For those who use private vehicles of course can easily look for it. As for you who use public transportation there are 2 choices that is using the train or bus. I recommend using the bus, because it is cheaper, it is also not too far away distance. Approximately 45 minutes from Place de Verdun. For bus schedule please see here.

Who does not know Paris? Very famous Eiffel Tower is the main attraction. A magnet is bewitching travelers from all over the world to see it up close, to preserve it even took her home.

Fête du Port de Pêche - Festival Pelabuhan di La Rochelle

Selamat datang di Fête du  port de pêche 2016  (Festival pelabuhan perikanan). Festival ini adalah festival tahunan yang diadakan di La Rochelle, Prancis. Tahun ini merupakan edisi ke 19 yang berlokasi di tempat aslinya yaitu Plage de Chef-de-Baie ( Pantai Chef-de-Baie) dimana pada edisi sebelumnya lokasi festival ini sempat dipindahkan ke pelabuhan yang lain. Diselenggarakan pada hari Sabtu 21 Mei, 2016 mulai pukul 12.00 sampai pukul 17.00 .

                Vintage atau Retro, bagaimana menurutmu? Ah, bagi saya keduanya Nampak sama.  Sama-sama memiliki gaya dan nilai bagi penggemarnya. Ada sebuah sumber menyebutkan untuk disebut dalam kategori vintage itu harus berumur lebih dari 100 tahun. Dari segi apa? Umurnya atau gayanya? Nah itu yang saya juga masih bingung.                    Libur sekolah hampir usai, masih tersisa 2 hari dan sayang jika dilewatkan begitu saja tanpa melakukan kegiatan yang menyenangkan bersama keluarga. Kali ini kita mengunjungi LudoLand di gedung Espace Encan, La Rochelle tepat di samping Aquarium La Rochelle. Apakah itu Ludoland? Itu adalah sebuah arena aneka permainan untuk anak-anak yang dibuat dari bahan yang empuk sehingga aman untuk anak-anak, yang ditiup dengan angin supaya terkembang.

               Hari itu jam 8 pagi, matahari bersinar terang, langit terlihat cerah dan suhu udara perlahan beranjak naik dari 4° Celcius dan terus naik. Adakah yang lebih menyenangkan selain langit yang cerah setelah beberapa bulan menjalani musim dingin?

                Memasuki minggu ke 2 libur sekolah dan disambut cuaca yang cerah, alangkah nikmatnya jika bisa jalan-jalan ke pulau. Ada sebuah pulau yang letaknya dekat dengan tempat tinggal kami La Rochelle yaitu Île de Ré. Selain jaraknya yang dekat, Île de Ré dapat ditempuh dengan bus karena ada jembatan yang menghubungkan antara La Rochele dengan Île de Ré. Kata orang, belumlah lengkap mengunjungi La Rochelle jika belum mengunjungi  Île de Ré.

                 Printemps (baca: musim semi), oh printemps. Datangnya bagaikan seberkas cahaya yang menyinari bumi setelah diselimuti hawa dingin berbulan lamanya. Teramat dirindukan. Printemps juga berarti telah berakhirnya musim dingin yang sangat menyiksa, musim yang membuat wajah semua orang menjadi murung dan kadang merasakan sakit.

         Brocante, sebuah istilah dalam Bahasa Perancis untuk menyebut pasar loak. Brocante juga disebut Puces (kutu), atau dalam Bahasa Inggris berarti Flea (flea market di Amerika). Brocante di La Rochelle ini buka setiap hari Kamis dan Sabtu. Berlokasi di belakang Halte Bus St.Nicholas tepatnya di Quai de la Georgette, di depan Hotel Ibis. Hanya berjarak kira-kira 500 meter dari Gare SNCF La Rochelle (stasiun kereta).

          La Rochelle adalah sebuah kota di bagian barat Perancis yang merupakan bagian dari Department Charente Maritime. Sebagai kota yang menghadap Samudera Atlantik, La Rochelle menjadi salah satu tujuan wisata pilihan untuk musim panas. Jadi bisa dibayangkan betapa ramainya La Rochelle saat musim panas tiba.

                Jika Anda berkunjung ke La Rochelle untuk waktu yang lama, mungkin lebih dari 1 bulan, tentunya Anda tidak akan berdiam diri di rumah sepanjang hari. Ada banyak tempat yang bisa dikunjungi untuk berpetualang mencari pengalaman baru. Misalnya mengunjungi museum, Aquarium La Rochelle untuk melihat ikan, ke pasar dan lain sebagainya.

Huître, di Indonesia kita biasa menyebutnya tiram. Hewan laut yang bercangkang keras seperti keluarga kerang pada umumnya. Huître ini memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang banyak. Merupakan sumber seng, zat besi, kalsium, vitamin A dan Vitamin B12. 

Sebagai seorang yang tinggal di sebuah kota maritim , dimana hasil laut banyak dijumpai, amat disayangkan jika belum mencoba memakan Huître ini. Nutrisi dalam Huître lebih banyak jika dimakan mentah tanpa dimasak. Biasanya cukup ditambah lemon saja.

           Musim dingin bukan berarti hanya diam saja di dalam rumah. Terlebih jika rumahmu berada di pinggiran pantai. Dan tahun ini, seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya La Rochelle tidak mendapat jatah guyuran salju meski suhunya sempat berada mendekati 0 derajat celcius.  Meskipun demikian La Rochelle sering terkena hembusan angin yang sangat kencang disertai hujan yang lebat karena lokasinya yang langsung menghadap laut.
